INSIDE: Adviser Spotlight – Mrs. Paige Culwell
By Brittany Hastings, National Vice-President of Parliamentary Law
We are all aware of the impact that our advisers have on us throughout our journey with FCCLA. In honor of every adviser within our organization, I would like to take a moment to recognize my local adviser, Mrs. Paige Culwell.
Mrs. Culwell is from Canadian, Texas, where she resides with her husband and three children. She attended Angelo State University and graduated from Tarleton State University with a FACS degree. Mrs. Culwell found her love for Family and Consumer Sciences and teaching during her time in high school, which is how she decided upon her career.
After advising for 23 years, Mrs. Culwell strongly believes that her favorite part of FCCLA is seeing her students’ success. She loves to see her students succeed for the first time because that is when they realize what it takes to do a great job.
Mrs. Culwell has taken members to the National Leadership Conference seven times, but her favorite memories come from her family’s white water rafting trips because of the laughter throughout the trip.
Mrs. Culwell has been a pleasure to work with throughout my time in FCCLA, and I am certain that your adviser has played a key role in your time as well. So take time out of your day to thank them. You never know how much it will mean to them!
