The 2009-2010 National Executive Council invites you to attend the 2010 National Leadership Conference.  

"Are you ready to celebrate FCCLA's birthday with our country's independence all in one unforgettable conference?  65 Years of Leadership is being celebrated at this National Leadership COnference in the windy city where it all began: Chicago, Illinois!  A marvelous conference has been planned.  Attend some stellar workshops, participate in career explorations , take part in officer trainings, and get motivated by the best speakers and general sessions on the planet!"

Registration

Registration is required to participate in all sessions, special events, tours, and workshops at the National Leadership Conference.  Name badges and wristbands/tickets will be checked.  Conference Registration closes June 11, 2010.  Registration Information and Policies are available in the brochure.

FCCLA strongly encourages online registration, but has developed a printable registration form.  If mailing multiple printed forms, please submit together with a registration summary form.

FCCLA Housing Policy

It is important that all conference delegates use the official conference hotels.  The Board of Directors has implemented the followpong policy:

1. Delegates who live more than 30 miles from the convention site and do not stay in one of the official convention hotels will be assessed a conference room fee of $25 per registration in order to register for the conference.
2. Delegates from state associations attending the national conference and not staying at one of the official convention hotels may not participate in National STAR Events or be eligible to be elected for national office.

The Hyatt Regency Chicago will serve as the headquarters hotel; the Sheraton Chicago will serve as overflow housing and provide additional meeting space.  Additional Housing Information and Policies are available in the brochure.

State Hotel Assignments

Please check with your state adviser to find out how your state will be handling housing reservations.  The hotels will be provided with the state assignments and will only accept reservations for states assigned to their property.  Reservations received after the hotel cutoff date will be placed in the assigned hotel based on availability.

Discounted Airline Fares

American Airlines is the official airline of this year's National Leadership Conference.  Discount fares can be purchased online at www.aa.com using the promotion code: 2970AG.  Participants can also contact American Airlines Meeting Service Desk at 1-800-433-1790 for assistance.  Discounted fares are good July 2-July 10, 2010 for AA/AE flights only.

Participate at the conference by submitting a chapter project to showcase during Spotlight on Projects.  Click Here for more information and to complete a participation form.

Call for Youth Workshop Presenters

FCCLA is looking for innovative workshop ideas.  Proposals must be submitted no later than April 9, 2010.  FCCLA will accecpt proposals from chapters, alumni, business and industry representatives, corporations, and other interested parties with expertise in yourth personal development.  Click Here for more information and to submit a proposal.

Photograpy

State Group photo appointments are scheduled by state advisers.  Contact your state adviser for more information. 

STAR Event participant medal photos will be taken after each recognition session.  Orders placed prior to July 1 offer a discount on the shipping and handling fee.

National award winner photos will be taken after each session.  Candid photos will be taken throughout the conference .  Small group and individual photos can be taken in the exhibit hall during normal exhibit hours.  All photos will be available online for for viewing and purchase the following day.

Be a Part of the Conference Program

Show your support for FCCLA state and chapter officers, members, and advisers in the printed conference program.  Affiliated members may receive space for as little as $25.  Order form coming soon.

NLC Exhibits

The FCCLA Exhibit Program features FCCLA Publication Sales, FCCLA emblematic items, career resources, fundraising ideas, and educational and training materials and opportunities.
