![]() | STAR Events (Students Taking Action with Recognition) are competitive events in which members are recognized for proficiency and achievement in chapter and individual projects, leadership skills, and career preparation. STAR Events offer individual skill development and application of learning through the following activities: |
- cooperative – teams work to accomplish specific goals
- individualized – an individual member works alone to accomplish specific goals
- competitive – individual or team performance measured by an established set of criteria.

Recognition:
Participants will receive national recognition items including achievement medals, certificates, and a press release for local media. Recognition levels are:
- Gold Medal (Highest level)
- Silver Medal
- Bronze Medal
- 2009 National STAR Events Results
- 2009 Scholarships & Awards
STAR Events volunteers deserve recognition too! Two individuals will be recognized at the 2010 STAR Events Recognition Session in Chicago. If you know someone who has made a significant contribution to STAR Events through their volunteer efforts, nominate them for this award today! Nomination deadline: January 1, 2010.
