Preparing to Attend
Step 1: Register to Attend
All registrations occur in the FCCLA Portal. Before you register, you must answer the questions below:
- Have I paid all outstanding invoices? You must not have a balance on any prior invoices in the FCCLA portal to register for the conference.
- Are all my advisers and students who want to attend on an affiliation invoice? In order to register for the conference(s) you or your students must have the status of "Pending" or "Affiliated" in the FCCLA portal. The status of "Pending" means you or your students are submitted for affiliation and on an affiliation invoice but not yet paid.
- Do your students want to attend the 2021 National Fall Conference following Capitol Leadership? If so, you will need to register all of your students separately for the 2021 National Fall Conference in the "Meetings & Events" tab in the FCCLA portal. A discount will be provided for those registered for both meetings. See the Capitol Leadership page for more information.
Step 2: Reserve Your Hotel Room(s)
FCCLA contracts with hotels in cities where the nationally sponsored meetings are held. Room rates and cost of meeting space are based on an anticipated room pick-up. It is important that FCCLA attendees stay within the official meeting/conference hotel block when attending the meeting/conference.
Attendees not staying within the official meeting/conference hotel block will be assessed a $125 fee per registration. This policy will not be implemented once the hotel block is completely sold out. Availability of a preferred room type will not provide an exemption from this policy.
Step 3: Book Travel
Now that you have registered for the conference and booked your hotel room(s), it is time to make your travel arrangements. Ensure that the hotel is available on your preferred travel dates before making transportation arrangements to avoid any change fees.
