Youth Workshops

Don’t miss this exceptional opportunity to apply to host a youth workshop at the 2023 National Fall Conference (NFC) in Birmingham, AL. As an NFC youth workshop presenter, you can make a significant impact, share your expertise, and inspire positive change among the youth attendees. These workshops are specially designed to engage and empower FCCLA members, encouraging them to leave a lasting influence on their families, careers, and communities.
Presentation proposals must align with the topic areas outlined in the application. These topics are directly relevant to the conference themes, fostering critical inquiry, showcasing informed action, and placing a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary integration.
Youth Workshops are scheduled for Saturday, November 11, 2023, and will be 25 minutes each.
Application Deadlines
- Friday, September 1, 2023 - Deadline for Exhibitors, Partners, and Sponsors to submit their proposal(s).
- Friday, September 29, 2023 - Deadline for Advisers and Members to submit their proposal(s).
Applicants will be notified no later than Friday, October 7 if they are selected to present.
Introduction Video
As part of the application process, applicants are required to create a 1-minute introductory video. In this video, you must introduce yourself, give a concise overview of your presentation's content, and include any additional information you'd like to share.
Outline and Handouts
You will be required to include an outline of your presentation and any handouts/materials you will need for your workshop.
Once you begin your application, you will be unable to save and return to it at a later time.
*Note: Only a microphone will be provided in the workshop rooms. Any handouts or presentation materials can be uploaded to the conference app for attendees to access.
