We Help Two
For the second consecutive year FCCLA is partnering with We Help Two to make a positive change by selling funky socks. We Help Two was founded on the belief that fundraising can be done in a way that benefits two causes. Through their unique fundraising method, organizations not only raise funds for their cause but also impact their local community through their local sock donation program at no additional cost!
Socks can be purchased virtually (link coming soon) or on-site at the conference.
Water For Africa
FCCLA wants to make twice the impact by using the funds raised from the first 100 packs of socks sold to provide clean drinking water for communities in Africa who need it most. The Water for Africa program provides a lifeline for African communities to reduce the risk of waterborne illnesses.
Consider these facts:
- Every 20 seconds a child dies from lack of access to clean water in Africa.
- In Africa, women and children in many communities spend up to 60% of each day walking to collect water.
- 40% of sub-Saharan Africa is without access to clean water.
After the first 100 socks are sold, FCCLA’s Ultimate Leadership Fund will receive a portion of the sales. In addition, for every pack of socks sold, one pair of socks will be donated to the Samaritan House Homeless Shelter in Denver.
