Youth Opportunities

FCCLA student members have the option to register for the additional youth opportunities listed below. Once registered for the conference, attendees can register for these opportunities directly in the FCCLA Portal.


1st Time Attendee Orientation

Advisers, students, and guests who want to learn the ins and outs of the conference must pre-register to attend this informative session presented by National FCCLA staff. There is no additional fee for this item.


State Officer Training

State officers who want additional training and networking opportunities presented by the Leadership Training Team must pre-register to attend the designated state officer sessions. There is no additional fee for this item.


Say Yes to FCS Signing Ceremony

Are you saying Yes to FCS? If so, then be sure to apply to participate in the Say Yes to FCS Signing Ceremony taking place during the National Leadership Conference. This special ceremony is designed to highlight seniors who have committed to becoming Family and Consumer Sciences Educators. 

The Say Yes to FCS Signing Ceremony will take place during the Recognition Session on Saturday, July 2 (11:00 AM – 1:00 PM). Seniors interested in participating must complete the interest form in the FCCLA Portal by May 10, 2022.

    • Have you committed or do you plan to major in Family and Consumer Sciences?
    • Which post-secondary institution will you be attending in the fall to pursue your degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education?
    • Have you committed or plan to commit to major in Family and Consumer Sciences education?
    • Share your story behind your inspiration to pursue Say YES to FCS education.
    • How has FCCLA impacted your decision to Say Yes to FCS?
    • A link to your FCCLA headshot, preferably wearing your red blazer.

Fashion Show

Get excited! FCCLA will be hosting the annual Fashion Show during the National Leadership Conference! The FCCLA Fashion Show will showcase exemplary fashion pieces created by student members. Any FCCLA member who would like their piece to be considered for the Fashion Show is welcome to apply!

FCCLA’s partners at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising / FIDM will review applications and select the top designs that will be invited to be juried at the 2022 National Leadership Conference. During the on-site jury process, FIDM representatives will review the garments and speak with the designers about their projects. A select number of individuals will then be invited to participate in the live Fashion Show. This is the perfect opportunity to have your designs viewed by one of the nation’s top fashion, entertainment, beauty, and design schools!

The FCCLA Fashion Show will take place during the Recognition Session on Saturday, July 2 (11:00 AM – 1:00 PM). Students interested in participating must complete the interest form in the FCCLA Portal by May 10, 2022.

  • On-Site Fashion Show Rehearsal #2: July 2 from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM

Spotlight on Projects and STAR Events Showcase

All student members are eligible to sign-up to participate in this year’s Spotlight on Projects and STAR Events Showcase. Students can showcase their National Program projects, as well as, STAR Event projects to all attendees. This is a great opportunity for students to share their hard work completed throughout the school year. This event is scheduled for the morning of Saturday, July 2. Participants are responsible for bringing their projects/displays and should stay with their display to answer questions.
