The Conference Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to Director of Conferences by conducting research, preparing reports and presentations, handling information requests, and clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, coordinating travel and managing travel reimbursements, scheduling meetings, and arranging conference calls. This position travels to the National Leadership Conference that takes place each summer. Additional limited travel may be required.

FCCLA is seeking three individuals for internships at the national headquarters office during the summer of 2019. Internship opportunities are available in the areas of Youth Leadership, Competitive Events, and Programs, Partnerships and Professional Development. This hands-on internship is open to students pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Tourism & Event Management who are entering their 3rd or 4th year. Those with special events/meeting planning experience are strongly encouraged to apply. The Conference Intern will assist the Director of Conferences and Meetings Manager in preparing for the FCCLA National Leadership Conference with approximately 7,500 attendees who are middle/high school students and their advisers. The intern will report directly to FCCLA's Meetings Manager.
