She is a 5-time published author with her 6th book specifically for teen girls, called, “The Lost Art of Ladyhood.” Her passion to help teens led her to start a national non-profit organization called “The Ivy Girl Academy,” a confidence and leadership training program for teen ladies.
As a professional vocalist she has released five solo albums, toured 36 states with the Broadway musical “Footloose,” and has also been hired for hundreds of recording sessions as a studio vocalist including songs heard on TV’s “America’s Got Talent,” ESPN and “The Biggest Loser.” Jessie’s favorite role in life is that of adored wife and mother to two.
The top 3 skills FCCLA teens need to ignite their personal and positional leadership journey will be the focus of this presentation. Leaders need to master personal leadership skills (personal character), interpersonal skills, and how to create real synergy as a positional leader (student body officer, captain of the soccer team, CEO, etc.). Through powerful stories of hope, bravery, and resilience as well as inspiring pop music at the beginning and end of her presentation, Jessie will ignite the energy at the cluster meetings, leaving every FCCLA attendee with new knowledge, new ideas of how they can improve their own leadership skills, and rekindled passion for their own goals.
