Health & Safety Information

National FCCLA considers the health and safety of all who attend the 2022 National Leadership Conference including our attendees, staff, partners, exhibitors, and on-site vendors/service providers as our top priority. We are committed to facilitating optimal health and safety conditions throughout our event as described below.

We will follow the local city and state ordinances in effect at the time of the conference. Currently, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has in effect:

  • Effective April 1, 2022, the requirement for vaccine verification or proof of negative tests for attendees at Indoor Mega Events (1,000+ people) will be lifted and will move to a strong recommendation.
  • Effective March 1, 2022, the requirement that unvaccinated individuals mask in indoor public settings became a strong recommendation that all persons, regardless of vaccine status, continue indoor masking.

Face coverings continue to be required on public transportation, whether you have been vaccinated or not, such as buses, airplanes, taxis and rideshare services, and in the areas that serve them such as airports, transit stations, etc. National FCCLA suggests you also look at the COVID-19 requirements for any venue (i.e., restaurant, stores, theaters, museums, etc.) you plan to attend while in San Diego as they may change from place to place.

These recommendations will continue to be updated as the CDPH continues to assess conditions on an ongoing basis. National FCCLA will closely monitor policies and regulations when establishing health and safety requirements for our events.

All attendees will be required to complete a COVID-19 Safety Agreement & Waiver Form upon arrival at the conference. Attendees under 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the waiver. This form can be found in the 2022 NLC Required Forms listed under resources. Any attendee who does not follow the guidelines set forth above will be required to return their name badge and leave the conference immediately at their own expense.

NOTE: These policies and protocols are subject to change and all registered attendees will be required to follow protocols as they are finalized before or during the conference.
