Special Events

To enhance your National Leadership Conference experience, FCCLA provides opportunities to enjoy the sights of Denver with your fellow members.

FCCLA is offering the following special events this year to enhance your conference experience.  These events are all optional and require pre-registration for an additional fee. Registration for these events is done in the FCCLA Portal when registering for the conference.

Special Event: Elitch Gardens Theme and Water Park

Tuesday, July 4 - 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Park closing time)
(Water park closes at 6:00 PM)

This year’s special event will occur at Elitch Gardens Theme and Water Park, Colorado’s only world-class combination theme and water park. There are thrills for all, from thrilling roller coasters to pint-sized adventures, a splashin’ water park, and tons of special events.

Cost: $80 per person

Price includes a wristband, park admission, food, and drinks in a private picnic area, motorcoach transportation, onsite staff, and applicable taxes and gratuities.

Attire: School Appropriate casual

FCCLA Rock The Red

Wednesday, July 5 - 7:30 – 10:00 PM

The FCCLA Rock the Red event will be an opportunity for all NLC attendees to get active while in Denver. Enjoy the evening by participating in Yoga and Zumba in Denver’s own Sculpture Park. DJ entertainment will be at the event to get your blood pumping and dance the night away. The emphasis is on fun, meeting new people, and working those muscles. All proceeds will benefit FCCLA members through FCCLA’s Ultimate Leadership Fund.

Participants must sign a waiver form to be emailed to meetings@fcclainc.org by June 12, 2023.

Sculpture Park
1736 Speer Blvd, Denver, CO 80204

Cost: $55 per person

Includes Yoga and  Zumba sessions by certified instructors, DJ and dancing, healthy snacks, water, FCCLA yoga mat towel, onsite staff, and applicable taxes and gratuities.

All participants will receive a custom FCCLA-branded Yoga Mat Towel and a frozen treat. 

Attire: School-appropriate athletic wear

NLC After Party

Thursday, July 6 - 7:30 – 10:30 PM

Don’t miss this laid-back, casual, fun-loving “after party” as you wind down from a week of meetings, presentations, and competitions. Drop your FCCLA blazer and dress code attire, and get comfortable dancing the night away!

The evening will include dancing and high-energy DJ entertainment, photo booths, selfie stations, and various game tables. Only light snacks will be served, so eat dinner before you arrive.

Help bring the 2023 National Leadership Conference to a close by dancing the night away with our outgoing and newly elected National Executive Councils and all your new friends!

Location: Hyatt Regency Hotel

Cost: $65 per person

Includes a wristband, light snacks/desserts, DJ, games, photo booths/selfie stations, onsite staff, and applicable taxes and gratuities.

Attire: School-appropriate casual attire

Members develop skills for life through: character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.
