Ansonia FCCLA Delivers Holiday Joy with Toy Collection for Dayton Children’s Hospital
The Ansonia Jr./Sr. High School FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) Chapter wrapped up 2025 with an inspiring act of service that truly demonstrates the FCCLA mission of community engagement and leadership. Throughout December, chapter members organized a toy collection drive that resulted in over 400 toys donated to Dayton Children’s Hospital, bringing smiles to children facing health challenges during the holiday season.
As donation boxes filled and community support grew, Ansonia FCCLA demonstrated what is possible when students come together with compassion and purpose. The collected toys were donated to Dayton Children’s Hospital, where they will help brighten the days of children receiving care, serving as holiday gifts, birthday presents, end-of-treatment rewards, and items for hospital waiting areas.
The drive was about more than collecting toys, it was a lesson in leadership, teamwork, and empathy. FCCLA Members coordinated logistics, facilitated donations, and embraced the challenge of organizing an initiative that extended beyond their school walls.
Through leadership, teamwork, and a shared commitment to service, Ansonia FCCLA demonstrated how student-led initiatives can create lasting impact. Ansonia FCCLA’s efforts not only brought comfort and joy to children in need but also showcased the chapter’s dedication to service, a spirit they look forward to continuing in future projects.
