National Executive Council Advisers

The National Executive Council Advisers (NEC Advisers) are the chapter advisers of the students elected to serve on FCCLA’s National Executive Council. These outstanding educators serve as mentors, facilitators, and liaisons, supporting not only their individual officers’ growth but also advancing FCCLA’s mission on a national level.

Throughout the year, NEC Advisers guide their student officers in meeting the responsibilities of national leadership, providing consistent encouragement, structure, and accountability. They assist with travel and communication logistics, supervise deadlines, and ensure that national expectations are met. NEC Advisers help their officers prepare for conferences, develop speeches and workshops, manage schedules, and communicate effectively with stakeholders, all while helping them balance school, personal life, and FCCLA commitments.

Beyond their work with individual officers, NEC Advisers actively support national FCCLA programming. They serve as sounding boards for new initiatives, contribute feedback and ideas to improve resources and events, and participate in the development and refinement of curriculum, toolkits, and member engagement strategies. NEC Advisers also lead national workshops, facilitate adviser development sessions, and serve as essential volunteers during FCCLA’s National Leadership Conference and other national events.

Their leadership, insight, and dedication ensure that the National Executive Council thrives and that FCCLA continues to grow as the premier Career and Technical Student Organization for students enrolled in Family and Consumer Sciences education courses.
