Heber Springs Student Elected National FCCLA President; National CEO to Visit September 15–17
Herndon, VA – September 8, 2025 — Local high school senior Eva Orr has been elected President of the
National Executive Council of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), the highest
student leadership role within the 260,000+ member national organization.
To celebrate and support Eva’s achievement, FCCLA CEO Sandy Spavone will visit Heber Springs from September 15–17, 2025. During her visit, Spavone will meet with local education leaders, engage with Arkansas FCCLA members, and spotlight the impact of Career and Technical Student Organizations in shaping the future of education.
“Eva exemplifies the leadership, dedication, and vision that FCCLA represents,” said Sandy Spavone, FCCLA CEO. “Her election as National President is a proud moment not only for her community but also for the thousands of FCCLA members across the nation who look to student
leaders as role models.”
Eva, a senior at Heber Springs High School, will lead her peers from across the country in setting the direction for the organization during the 2025–2026 school year.
“Being elected as FCCLA’s National President is an incredible honor,” said Eva Orr. “I am excited to represent my hometown and help inspire other students to pursue leadership, education, and service opportunities through FCCLA.”
This milestone marks an important chapter for both Eva and the state of Arkansas, highlighting the role of
student leaders in advancing education, career readiness, and community engagement nationwide.
