Career Clusters

FCCLA has made a concentrated effort to illustrate the connection of FCCLA and Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) to Career Clusters. FCCLA most directly supports Career Clusters in Arts and Design, Hospitality and Tourism, Financial Services, Education and Training, Human Services, and Public Service.

FCCLA Career Cluster LogoFCCLA National Programs and Competitive Events support CTE students’ development of knowledge and skills, enhancing the classroom experience and Career Cluster initiatives. FCCLA is integrated into FCS and is intracurricular, providing students with opportunities for work-based learning, business and industry networks, and industry-recognized certifications.

FCCLA Members explore career opportunities and build career and life-ready skills by developing projects, engaging in leadership experiences, and competing for scholarships and awards at regional, state, and national levels. Through FCCLA’s six Career Clusters, members gain essential skills that prepare them for college, careers, and leadership roles. These skills include technical expertise, academic knowledge, and broad career-readiness abilities.

FCCLA Career Clusters

FCCLA’s six Career Clusters provide a meaningful framework to help students connect what they learn in the classroom to future career opportunities. These clusters align with real-world industries and allow students to explore their interests through hands-on learning, leadership development, and career-focused projects. Whether students are designing clothing, planning events, managing finances, or supporting their communities, each Career Cluster helps them build skills that matter—both in life and in the workplace. By participating in FCCLA, students not only prepare for college and careers—they discover how their passions can make a difference.
