Career Clusters
Resources
FCCLA has made a concentrated effort to illustrate the connection of FCCLA and Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) to Career Clusters. FCCLA most directly supports Career Clusters in Arts and Design, Hospitality and Tourism, Financial Services, Education and Training, Human Services, and Public Service.
FCCLA National Programs and Competitive Events support CTE students’ development of knowledge and skills, enhancing the classroom experience and Career Cluster initiatives. FCCLA is integrated into FCS and is intracurricular, providing students with opportunities for work-based learning, business and industry networks, and industry-recognized certifications.
FCCLA Members explore career opportunities and build career and life ready skills by developing projects, engaging in leadership experiences, and competing for scholarships and awards at regional, state, and national levels. Through FCCLA’s six Career Clusters, members gain essential skills that prepare them for college, careers, and leadership roles. These skills include technical expertise, academic knowledge, and broad career-readiness abilities.
